Reckless Love Of God

Sometimes it feels that we are going through life alone but let me encourage you God is right there with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He’s coming after you.

In the last few months going through all this sickness and crazy stuff, it’s been one thing after another. I have felt scared and I have felt alone but I have to say it’s been in those moments of pressing in God has been more real to me and I have felt closer to Him. He has shown me his goodness and kindness. He’s helping me to trust Him more and depend less on my feelings and what I see going on around me. He has even sent precious new friends to lift me up.

So what do you do when fear comes at you?

Do you bow to fear?

Do you isolate?

Do you lash out?

Do you let it take over?

If I’m honest, I’ve done it all, maybe your there now too. Don’t be ashamed it’s ok but now is the time to rise up precious one. It’s time to change your confession.

Lately God has shown me that I have to fight back with His word, the sword of the Spirit more so than ever before. It’s part of our armor we need to put on every day like getting dressed. But it’s our choice, we have to choose to pick up God’s word. We have to choose to fight against fear, anxiety, sickness, addictions or whatever it is your going through. His Word is alive, active and sharper than any 2 edged sword and so powerful that it cannot return void.

Your circumstances may look dark and you may not see a way out but God has a way of lighting up the darkness or kicking down walls that are hurting or hindering you. He’s coming after you, He’s coming to your rescue.

We have the power within us, we just have to choose to use it. The power of life and death is in the tongue, so CHOOSE LIFE! SPEAK LIFE!

“The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Remember YOU are a trophy of grace and God loves you and has a perfect plan for your life! You have a destiny to fulfill!

He’s in the Waiting

So thankful for this gentle reminder today.

“Take courage my heart, stay steadfast my soul. He’s in the waiting.”

I have been enduring lots of waiting the last few months. Have you found yourself waiting too?

I’ve struggled with sphenoid sinus infections and occipital migraines for a few years and I had sinus surgery in March. Well it’s literally been one trial after another since then. Shortly after I found out I had staph and something else they cultured.

It has wrecked havoc on my body and I have gotten into lots of anxiety and fear.

Do you have any anxiety or fear over something going on in your life?

Are you waiting for a breakthrough or healing?

Just as I was encouraged today, I want to encourage you, He’s there with you in the waiting. Stay strong and steadfast precious one.

Tell God what’s bothering you and then turn every fear and all your anxiety over to him and make it your prayer list. Keep praying till your breakthrough comes.

Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

There’s 2 ways we can wait; we can wait passively or expectantly. If we wait passively, we just sit around waiting to see what will happen. Not really sure God will come through for us and not expecting anything good so we just give up.

But an expectant person is full of hope. They believe God is at work on their behalf. They believe and have there full trust in Him and that He will work all things out for their good. They believe in SUDDENLIES of God.

Wherever you find yourself today, don’t give up my friend. Don’t stop believing. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Stay full of hope and expectation. God’s got you! He has you right in the palm of His hand and nothing is to big for him and He wasn’t surprised by your situation.

Stand firm and steadfast! Keep pressing in and never give up!

Take courage my friend and you will rise in His victory.

Overcoming Opposition

Opposition can come at any time, when things are going good or bad. When we’re seeing change for the good and we know we’re doing what God wants us to do, that’s when the enemy tries to step in and oppose what we’re doing.

I’ve personally experienced a lot of this here recently. Something that you prayed for for a long time and your breakthrough happens, the enemy will try anything and everything to defeat you in in that area or another area of your life.

The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, he will do his best to bring doubt, fear, and insecurity into your mind and heart. Thats why it’s so important to renew our minds. Know the word, speak the word, let it get on the inside of you so when the enemy comes at you with his lies you speak back to him and put him in his place!

A wide door is open for great work but there are many adversaries. 1 Corinthians 16:9

When you step out and do what God wants you to do, don’t think the devil will roll out a red carpet for you and say “Go ahead, do what what you’re called to do.”

Ohhh no he won’t!! He will try to come at you any way possible to keep you from doing whatever it is, so stand your ground! Y’all talk back to the devil! He is a defeated foe!

He’s sneaky and knows your weak areas where he can get to you. It could be through people, your health, finances, your job, your spouse/family. Whatever it is KNOW this, he is only trying to distract you from doing whatever it is you are called to do.

Remember “We war not against flesh and blood….”

I have let him distract me and gotten swallowed up by his tactics at different times in my life but at least I can say they are becoming shorter and shorter times. I’m realizing what’s going on and you can too. We can’t be moved by what we see, we call those things that be not as though they are. Stop focusing on the problem or situation, lift your eyes to Jesus.

He’s the Author and Finisher of our faith. He WILL perfect that which concerns us, we just have to keep our eyes on Him instead of what’s going on around us, all those distractions.

So when opposition/enemy is coming against you begin praising and declaring the goodness of God.

Put on the whole Armor of God!

He is for YOU, not against you. He will fight your battles, all you need to do is trust and have faith in Him that he has it and REST in his presence. He loves you precious one and sees what the enemy is trying to do, NOTHING gets by Him.

Declare the goodness and glory of God in your situation and have faith that He is working ALL THINGS, NOT SOME, BUT ALL THINGS OUT FOR YOUR GOOD and NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU WILL PROSPER! Amen!

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

HOPE in the midst of Suffering….

Suffering……. no one likes it and yet suffering is a part of life. We all go through it at some point in our lifetime. You can suffer the pain of change or suffer remaining the way you are. Without suffering how can we experience joy?

Sometimes suffering comes as a natural consequence to the choices that we have made or others around us and sometimes suffering is just part of living in a fallen world.

Suffering if we let it, is part of our growth and who we become. Either way it’s not easy, so what do we do? We go to the Potter.

“We get to enjoy God on the mountain but we get to know God in the valley.” Dino Rizzo

“Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. Anyone who intends to come with Me has to let Me lead, you’re not in the driver seat; I am! Don’t run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I’ll show you how. Self-help is no help at all.” Matthew 16:24 Message

Sometimes I think we will try anything, read anything, ask friends for advice, anything at all instead of going to The One who knows what we need.

When we can embrace where were at and trust God that He knows what’s best for us, suffering isn’t as bad as we think it is when it’s producing good fruit and we are changing and growing into what God desires for us.

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases Him.” Philippines 2:13

Wherever you find yourself today…. suffering or not God is saying “YOU are Mine and I have you in the palm of my hand. I see what your going through. I see your pain. I see each tear you’ve cried precious one.”

You are not alone, He is with you and will never leave you. What you’re going through is not going to last forever, this to will pass. Hope in Me, for My Glory will be manifested in your life and circumstances.

Never forget YOU are a child of the most High God, you have been chosen and set apart for a purpose greater than yourself. He made YOU, YOU are his masterpiece and YOU are one of a kind! He has great and mighty plans for you.

So come to Me with your pain and suffering and I will give you rest….

Blessed Is She Who Believed

This verse has meant so much to me and one I have clung to for a very long time. God speaks. He gives us the promise. And then we hold tight to it and believe with all of our heart. It’s not easy, sometimes it’s darn right painful! We question ourselves and we’re afraid. But precious one if you just dare to believe, keep pressing in and never give up He will bless you, and He will do what he has promised you in dark.

So often I think we believe the lies of the enemy instead of the truth of God’s word. We hear the whispers of

“Its never going to change.”

“Things will always be this way.”

“I’ll never be healthy.”

“I’ll never get pregnant.”

“I’ll never find a husband.”

Insert whatever your situation is. But the truth is if we keep believing, keep speaking God’s word over our circumstances we will see his promises come to pass in his time. Call those things that be not as though they are!

So what promises are you holding on to? Has God whispered things to your heart in the dark, ones that have yet to come to pass? Ones that you can’t possibly accomplish without Him? DREAM BIG!! ARE YOU PREPARING FOR RAIN? Have you seen the movie Facing the Giants? I love the part in it where they tell the story of the 2 farmers. That story reminds me of our faith in action. Here’s an excerpt from the movie:

Mr. Bridges:

There were two farmers who desperately needed rain, and both of them prayed for rain. But only one of them went out and prepared his fields to receive it.

Mr. Bridges: Which one do you think trusted God to send the rain?

Coach Taylor: the one who prepared his fields for it?”

Mr. Bridges: Which one are you? God will send the rain when He is ready. You need to prepare your field to receive it.

Are you preparing for rain? Are getting ready for God’s blessings to flow? Begin preparing, calling those things that be not as though they are. Having visual reminders of what God has promised you also keeps your faith stored up. Whatever situation you find yourself in, it’s not to big for God! He is not caught off guard. He’s saying hang on precious one, I’ve got this! He does wonderful things and He’s waiting to do wonderful things for you! Things you have yet to see and things you can’t imagine.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.

Blessings and hugs,

Dream Again

Today I came across an older writing of mine and thought I’d share. I love how God does that. Always knows what we need when we need it. I know I recently shared a similar topic, it was wrote during the same season of my life. But the message is so important, DREAM AGAIN. Don’t give up on what God put in your heart heart long ago.

So as I sit and ponder how we go thru seasons of life and for over half mine I’ve been a mom and wife. That was my job, sometimes thankless, sometimes really hard, but the rewards definitely out ways the tough times. In the last 8 months (at the time of this writing) I’ve been pushed into a season that I was dreading, scared, and certainly NOT READY FOR!! But funny how time goes on, our kids grow up, leave the nest. Some might say WHAT NOW LORD??? I know that was me for sure!! Our oldest is still at home, only 2 are gone but the process has started, so if this is you, tears will be shed and I mean A LOT!! UGLY CRY😭 Cus letting go of ours babies is painful but seeing them grow up into precious godly young women warms my heart and I couldn’t be more proud of our 3 beautiful girls.

I was at loss with what to do with myself but God has placed dreams and visions in our heart, it’s just that sometimes life and circumstances dim them. Is your dimmer switch turned off? If so I encourage you kids at home or not, DREAM AGAIN!! God is NOT done with you yet “empty nester parent” who feels alone, sad, and with no purpose now.

God is not done with you “stay at home mom” who feels like if I see one more dirty diaper!!! Or if they don’t pick up there toys or stop arguing I may explode!!!

I remember those days so well. But just know these are seasons and parenting is THE HARDEST JOB OUT THERE!! Also the MOST IMPORTANT and REWARDING! In case no one has told you lately “You’re doing a great job Mom/Dad, you ROCK!!” But know matter where you are on this journey God is NOT done with you yet. It may feel like it but I promise you He’s not!! You have gifts and talents IN YOU that need to be birthed. I won’t lie the birthing process is painful, much like birthing a child. What are your dreams? Passions? Is there something you’ve been wanting to do? Start a business? Go back to school? Volunteer somewhere? Whatever it is, I believe God is stirring in folks, don’t resist or shrink back in fear. God didn’t give you a spirit of fear. Press on precious one!! Do what you were born to do. The world doesn’t need another copycat version of someone else, the world needs YOU functioning in what you’re called to do. The world needs what gifts and talents you have tucked away, so sparkle on precious one! You were born for such a time is this.

Much love💗 and SHINE BRIGHT! ✨✨

Blessings,

Nicole💗

Paralyzed or PURPOSE….you can choose.

Have you ever felt you have no purpose or you’ve lost your purpose? You don’t know what direction to go. You don’t know what your supposed to do next. A season is coming to end….what’s next for me Lord? Sometimes we know what it is and then there are other times we feel paralyzed, have absolutely no idea and find ourselves just doing nothing. At least that’s where I have found myself at times. When a season closes, sometimes there’s happiness or sadness or uncertainty. So what do we do? I liked to tell you I get it right every time but that wouldn’t true. What do you when your identity is wrapped up in what you do or worse when it’s wrapped up in a season that’s closing? I’ve struggled with this one myself too. If you know me you know being a good wife and mom is super important to me. It’s been my job I treasured. I felt called to being a stay at home mom. I never felt like I was “Just a stay at home mom” despite how others might see it. Like you just sit around and eat Bon Bons by the fireplace with a Dr. Pepper. Well I might have the Dr. Pepper lol.

Anyways I knew I was doing what I was called to do, as are you if this is your job choice. In my opinion being a mom and dad is the highest calling, one that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s our job to lead, guide and be there for our little saplings

But as time goes on our babies grow up, go to school, move out and go to college, or get married. It’s life, and it’s hard letting go. You may have gone to college and have a degree, or something you can fall back on but you may not. If not, it doesn’t mean you are any less valuable. I guess for me since Kayla and Zach got married and Sierra moved to Auburn 2-3 yrs ago those are all wonderful things it’s just all been big adjustments for me. My job was “Mom” and I was busy doing and being Mom. I’m still Mom but it’s different now, it’s not my full time “job” anymore so to speak. Slowly I’m finding myself and my purpose again. The purpose I felt I had lost is still there it just looks different now. You may feel you’ve lost your purpose as well but let me encourage you and say maybe it just looks differently now.

Regardless where you find yourself you have untapped potential in you, and you have purpose precious one! In this new season it’s time to find out what your purpose is, it’s time to explore….what do you want to do when you grow up? LOL 😂

We are all made in the image of God and each of us is born with passion and purpose we just need to tap into it and discover it and the walk in it!! So let’s get work friends!🤗💪

Blessings
