Promises Of God

The promises of God are for Whosoever WILL.

They are for the one who will do the part that God ASKED them to do…..to walk in obedience. That doesn’t mean you are perfect or that you do everything perfect.

God will enable you to do what you can’t do in your own strength!

His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses.

His word says “Not by might, not by power BUT BY MY SPIRIT says the Lord!”

GOD’S PROMISES

Let this collection of God’s promises get deep in your soul. Meditate over them. Speak them out loud of yourself and your family. “His Word is alive and powerful, sharper than any double edge sword. It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

  • Psalm 145:9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
  •  1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
  • James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
  •  2 Samuel 7:28 Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.
  • Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
  •  Isaiah 40:31 But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
  •  Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
  • Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
  •  Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
  •  Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

  • Matthew 6:31-33 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
  •  Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
  • 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
  • Jeremiah 29:12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
  •  Psalm 102:17 He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.
  •  Psalm 14518 The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
  • James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
  •  Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
  •  Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

The Bible is full of God’s promises for you. Cling to them, mediate on them, search for them, and let them remind you that He is good and faithful.

Have a blessed day!

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

The Prodigal Son-We all know the story of the Lost son who finds his way home. Its a beautiful story of God’s grace.

No matter where you are today precious one, or what you have done, that same unconditional love is waiting for you. He’s calling for you to come home. He’s waiting for you.

What are you waiting on?

No decision you’ve made, no problem to big, and no pit is to deep that God can’t get to you. All you have to do is call His name and He will swoop you up in his arms. He will take ALL your pain, shame, bondages and in return He will give you joy everlasting, healing, and freedom!

Your return to Him is something to be celebrated. He has a fancy robe, a fancy ring and some kicking shoes, and a feast like none other…..ALL just waiting for you.

What are you waiting on? Come home!

I’m not saying everything immediately gets better or that there are no consequences for your actions but what I am saying is that God is on your side and He WILL restore to you what has been lost or stolen. Sometimes it takes a long time but you will NOT be alone. God is with you every step of the way. He won’t leave you nor forsake you. He will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless norforsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] Hebrews 13:5

Sweet friend, He brings restoration! He makes ALL things new. Come to the party, He’s waiting just for YOU!

Nicole💗

You bring restoration

to my soul
You’ve taken my pain
called me by a new name
You’ve taken my shame
and in it’s place, You give me joy
You take mourning and turn it into dancing
You take weeping and turn it into laughing
You take mourning and turn it into dancing
You take my sadness and turn it into joy
hallelujah, hallelujah
You make all things new, all
things new

You are a Good, Good Father who loves his children and has great and mighty things in store for us. Teach us to walk in Your ways and not get stuck in old patterns and ways the ways of the world. Open new doors to walk in your plans and purposes for our lives and close doors that need to be closed. Move mountains Lord. Bring healing and restoration to our lives and break the chains that bind us. May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. In Jesus name, Amen!

Here are my answers to the questions:

What made you start blogging?

I love blogging. It helps me to get things out so I don’t bottle things up but it also gives me an avenue to share my pain, my experience, strength and hope. I never want my pain to be wasted, if I can help just one person then it’s all worth it.

When did you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

When I was 5 years old.

What is your favorite movie and/or book?

Well that’s easy, it’s Elf! I love that movie. I’m pretty sure I know every word. I watch it throughout the year as well lol. My other favorites are How the Grinch stole Christmas with Jim Carey, Fun with Dick and Jane and Mr. Poppers Penguin. You might notice a theme, I like laughing and “I like smiling, smiling is my favorite.” 😂

Where are you from?

I was born in Charlotte, N.C.

What is your favorite food?

Ribeye steak, especially from Outback Steakhouse. I could eat it every day!

What type of music do you like the most?

I love Christian rap, worship and some good ole classic country.

Where have you traveled?

I have been to Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Las Vegas, Metropolis, Il, Chicago, Virginia, Tennessee, Branson, St. Thomas, eastern Caribbean, Michigan, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Are you married?  Do you have kids?  If not, do you want to have kids?

Yes I am married, we have been married for 28 years and have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful son in law, and our youngest just got engaged. So our family is growing. We also have 2 dogs and 2 grand pups.

What was the biggest challenge you have overcome in life and how?

Dealing with family members who have a drinking problems or emotional issues. I’ve had to learn not to enable people and learn to respond rather than react. Learning that I’m responsible for my own happiness and not someone else. The journey I’ve been on has been extremely hard but I wouldn’t trade it because it’s helped me to become who I am today. Yes it’s painful but it has been life changing for me.

Have you ever had any supernatural experiences?

Being filled with the Spirit.

What was the best thing that ever happened to you?

I would have to say meeting my husband and having our 3 precious daughters.

****I’m just throwing this Question and Answer in just as a Bonus for your entertainment and because I really liked Ryan’s Question he had to answer.

So my most embarrassing moment happened when my husband and I were traveling with our girls. We decided to stop and grab a bite to eat at McDonald’s and let the girls play. Well they kept pestering me about going up in the McDonald’s PlayPlace with them, of course I said “No” I have a small fear of heights, lol. You know how relentless kids can be, I finally gave in and agreed to go up. I did fine until I got to the middle of the net tunnel. Yep you guessed it, I froze right in the middle, couldn’t move, I was laughing and crying all at the same time. Sean and the girls were laughing, heck everyone around was laughing. I was the laughing stock especially when my husband had to come up and get me down😂 Bless! Not my most shining moment but definitely a memory that gets shared often.

Here are my questions:

How many times have you moved?

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

If you could meet any person dead or alive, who would it be?

What was your first pet?

What was your Word for this year?

If you are a Christian, who led you to the Lord? OR what circumstances helped get you there?

What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Are you an only child or do you have siblings? How many?

What are some things God has taught you to do or use to help you walk in victory?

What’s your worst cooking disaster?

I loved you at your darkest

This is one of my favorite verses. Often times in life something unexpected happens and sends us down another path and we wonder, “Are you there God?” We were doing just fine how we were. “How could You let this happen?”

We get upset, fearful and just like the Israelites we complain and murmur and doubt in our hearts that God is even there or in control.

The Israelites were terrified and cried out to the LORD. They said to Moses, “What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

Do you feel like that?

“Have you cried out LORD, why?”

Man I know I have! I’ve felt all alone and scared. I’ve felt like He doesn’t hear my prayers or care what’s happening. I’ve felt like He doesn’t love me, because if he did he wouldn’t have allowed this. How about you?

But just like the Israelites God had a plan for them and He has a plan for your life! He hasn’t forgotten you my friend; on the contrary, He knows what’s best for you and me and He sees the beginning from the end.

Moses told them God was going to perform a miracle and deliver them. So “Do not be afraid. Stand firm, be confident and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today…” The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Keep believing for your miracle.

How often do we doubt in our heart when things happen that God is there, or that He hears us or even sees us???

His ways are higher than ours so we may not always understand. I’ve learned that sometimes he will lead us the hard way or allow something to happen to do a work in our lives, and show His glory in our lives.

I know it can seem unbearable and that you can’t make it through another day but I want to encourage you to keep on, hang in there, God hasn’t forgotten you my friend. He hears you from Heaven.

It’s easy to think if God would just do “THIS” then I would be so much better. Or if God would give us “THIS” I would finally be happy. But I think it’s kinda like Paul’s thorn. He prayed for it to be removed 3 times but his prayer wasn’t answered. Goodness, how many times have I prayed that prayer? How many times have you?

Sometimes it’s like that for us. We pray for something and we feel as though God isn’t answering our prayers. I know I’ve prayed for a handful of things for upwards of 20-30 years and it hasn’t been answered “YET” but still believing it will!

I think to myself “You know Lord you could totally do this in like a second.” But I’m learning that sometimes YES he does deliver us and sometimes he doesn’t and we walk it out. In the times that he doesn’t, does that mean He is bad? Of course not. I remember a time I was going through the darkest time of my life and I was praying for God to do something, anything really. My friend asked me “Nicole, if it never changes will you still serve Him?” If I’m honest my answer then was “No, Lord I want you to fix this, change this! I can’t live this way anymore!” But as I continued to pour my heart out God worked IN me. My circumstances didn’t change but He had changed me.

Sometimes he will allow it so we continue to draw closer to Him and trust him more. Because maybe just maybe if he delivered us we might not come to him and trust him like we do when we are going through the fire.

We cry for peace and take away all our problems and we’ll be happy but “Peace is not the absence of affliction but the presence of God.” He’s there in the midst of your trials and troubles precious one.

I have good news for you…you are not alone! God is with you always. Even in the darkness God is with you. He created you just the way you are, on purpose, flaws and all. No sin, no shame, or guilt can keep you from the love of God. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM HIM!

My job is to encourage you to keep on keeping on, never give up! Remind you how precious you are and how much God loves you and that he has great plans for you my friend! And one day you may need to do it for me😉

He loved you at your darkest my friend.

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

So trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” Proverbs 3:5-6
