For me 2018 has had a great deal of challenges and yet God has brought restoration in some areas of our lives with more to come I’m certain. I’m so excited to usher in 2019 and a new beginning. I hope you are as well. I am expecting great things this year for He makes ALL things new!So give Him your weakness and accept His strength! All of your sins have been forgiving and erased, and He has lifted your shame and disgrace! Let Him revive your soul and take your brokenness and make you WHOLE and give you unspeakable JOY!

The promises of God are for YOU and they are Yes and Amen! So tap into Him and His promises for you and your family my friend!!

I pray His blessings and favor chase you down and overtake you in 2019 for He is a God of restoration.

Those healings and breakthroughs are coming so DON’T GIVE UP precious one!

PRESS IN to the new year and CONTEND for what Jesus died to give you!! YOU are a MIGHTY WARRIOR!!

I am believing for you and your family, as well as mine that God will do Ephesians 3:20 in your life….exceedingly, abundantly above and WAYYYY beyond what we can hope, ask, or think this year!!

Thank you God for what you are going to do in our lives and we believe there is so much more to come! You are a Good, Good Father who loves his children and has great and mighty things in store for us. Teach us to walk in Your ways and not get stuck in old patterns and ways the ways of the world. Open new doors to walk in your plans and purposes for our lives and close doors that need to be closed. Move mountains Lord. Bring healing and restoration to our lives and break the chains that bind us. May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. In Jesus name, Amen!

I’ve shared in a past post that Joy is my word for 2019. I’d love to know what your word is and why.

Here are my answers to the questions:

What made you start blogging?

I love blogging. It helps me to get things out so I don’t bottle things up but it also gives me an avenue to share my pain, my experience, strength and hope. I never want my pain to be wasted, if I can help just one person then it’s all worth it.

When did you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

When I was 5 years old.

What is your favorite movie and/or book?

Well that’s easy, it’s Elf! I love that movie. I’m pretty sure I know every word. I watch it throughout the year as well lol. My other favorites are How the Grinch stole Christmas with Jim Carey, Fun with Dick and Jane and Mr. Poppers Penguin. You might notice a theme, I like laughing and “I like smiling, smiling is my favorite.” 😂

Where are you from?

I was born in Charlotte, N.C.

What is your favorite food?

Ribeye steak, especially from Outback Steakhouse. I could eat it every day!

What type of music do you like the most?

I love Christian rap, worship and some good ole classic country.

Where have you traveled?

I have been to Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Las Vegas, Metropolis, Il, Chicago, Virginia, Tennessee, Branson, St. Thomas, eastern Caribbean, Michigan, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Are you married?  Do you have kids?  If not, do you want to have kids?

Yes I am married, we have been married for 28 years and have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful son in law, and our youngest just got engaged. So our family is growing. We also have 2 dogs and 2 grand pups.

What was the biggest challenge you have overcome in life and how?

Dealing with family members who have a drinking problems or emotional issues. I’ve had to learn not to enable people and learn to respond rather than react. Learning that I’m responsible for my own happiness and not someone else. The journey I’ve been on has been extremely hard but I wouldn’t trade it because it’s helped me to become who I am today. Yes it’s painful but it has been life changing for me.

Have you ever had any supernatural experiences?

Being filled with the Spirit.

What was the best thing that ever happened to you?

I would have to say meeting my husband and having our 3 precious daughters.

****I’m just throwing this Question and Answer in just as a Bonus for your entertainment and because I really liked Ryan’s Question he had to answer.

So my most embarrassing moment happened when my husband and I were traveling with our girls. We decided to stop and grab a bite to eat at McDonald’s and let the girls play. Well they kept pestering me about going up in the McDonald’s PlayPlace with them, of course I said “No” I have a small fear of heights, lol. You know how relentless kids can be, I finally gave in and agreed to go up. I did fine until I got to the middle of the net tunnel. Yep you guessed it, I froze right in the middle, couldn’t move, I was laughing and crying all at the same time. Sean and the girls were laughing, heck everyone around was laughing. I was the laughing stock especially when my husband had to come up and get me down😂 Bless! Not my most shining moment but definitely a memory that gets shared often.

Here are my questions:

How many times have you moved?

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

If you could meet any person dead or alive, who would it be?

What was your first pet?

What was your Word for this year?

If you are a Christian, who led you to the Lord? OR what circumstances helped get you there?

What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Are you an only child or do you have siblings? How many?

What are some things God has taught you to do or use to help you walk in victory?

What’s your worst cooking disaster?

I loved you at your darkest

This is one of my favorite verses. Often times in life something unexpected happens and sends us down another path and we wonder, “Are you there God?” We were doing just fine how we were. “How could You let this happen?”

We get upset, fearful and just like the Israelites we complain and murmur and doubt in our hearts that God is even there or in control.

The Israelites were terrified and cried out to the LORD. They said to Moses, “What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”

Do you feel like that?

“Have you cried out LORD, why?”

Man I know I have! I’ve felt all alone and scared. I’ve felt like He doesn’t hear my prayers or care what’s happening. I’ve felt like He doesn’t love me, because if he did he wouldn’t have allowed this. How about you?

But just like the Israelites God had a plan for them and He has a plan for your life! He hasn’t forgotten you my friend; on the contrary, He knows what’s best for you and me and He sees the beginning from the end.

Moses told them God was going to perform a miracle and deliver them. So “Do not be afraid. Stand firm, be confident and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today…” The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Keep believing for your miracle.

How often do we doubt in our heart when things happen that God is there, or that He hears us or even sees us???

His ways are higher than ours so we may not always understand. I’ve learned that sometimes he will lead us the hard way or allow something to happen to do a work in our lives, and show His glory in our lives.

I know it can seem unbearable and that you can’t make it through another day but I want to encourage you to keep on, hang in there, God hasn’t forgotten you my friend. He hears you from Heaven.

It’s easy to think if God would just do “THIS” then I would be so much better. Or if God would give us “THIS” I would finally be happy. But I think it’s kinda like Paul’s thorn. He prayed for it to be removed 3 times but his prayer wasn’t answered. Goodness, how many times have I prayed that prayer? How many times have you?

Sometimes it’s like that for us. We pray for something and we feel as though God isn’t answering our prayers. I know I’ve prayed for a handful of things for upwards of 20-30 years and it hasn’t been answered “YET” but still believing it will!

I think to myself “You know Lord you could totally do this in like a second.” But I’m learning that sometimes YES he does deliver us and sometimes he doesn’t and we walk it out. In the times that he doesn’t, does that mean He is bad? Of course not. I remember a time I was going through the darkest time of my life and I was praying for God to do something, anything really. My friend asked me “Nicole, if it never changes will you still serve Him?” If I’m honest my answer then was “No, Lord I want you to fix this, change this! I can’t live this way anymore!” But as I continued to pour my heart out God worked IN me. My circumstances didn’t change but He had changed me.

Sometimes he will allow it so we continue to draw closer to Him and trust him more. Because maybe just maybe if he delivered us we might not come to him and trust him like we do when we are going through the fire.

We cry for peace and take away all our problems and we’ll be happy but “Peace is not the absence of affliction but the presence of God.” He’s there in the midst of your trials and troubles precious one.

I have good news for you…you are not alone! God is with you always. Even in the darkness God is with you. He created you just the way you are, on purpose, flaws and all. No sin, no shame, or guilt can keep you from the love of God. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM HIM!

My job is to encourage you to keep on keeping on, never give up! Remind you how precious you are and how much God loves you and that he has great plans for you my friend! And one day you may need to do it for me😉

He loved you at your darkest my friend.

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

So trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” Proverbs 3:5-6

Hope against Hope

HOPE!! What is hope? It’s a confident expectation; it’s an attitude that something good is going to happen.

Have you ever felt hopeless?

Like you’ve believed, prayed, been on your knees, cried out to God for something and it still hasn’t come to pass and you just wonder, “God do you hear me?” “Can you see me?”

I think if we’re honest we’ve all been there. I know I have, maybe I am still in some areas “Hoping against hope.”

I think it kinda hit me today in my prayer time I’ve heard the story a million times. Abraham and Sarah were believing God for the impossible. God promised to “bless them with descendants to numerous to count.”

Abraham was a 100….A HUNDRED YEARS OLD Y’ALL!! Sarah was 90….Can you image that??? Giving birth at 90 YEARS OF AGE! Nope, I can’t imagine it in my my 40’s or 50’s lol, not that there is anything wrong with it I was just a young chickadee when I started having babies. But God honored His promise to them, IN HIS TIME and gave them a child in their old age.

“Even when there was NO reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping.” Hoping against hope, he believed God. That’s for YOU today!

God is no respecter of persons, if He did it for Abraham and Sarah, He can surely do it for you and me.

So what are you believing for or hoping against hope for?

It doesn’t matter what it is or even what your situation looks like….hope, believe, and trust in God like Abraham and Sarah. He is Almighty God, nothing impossible to Him. He is more than able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and way beyond what you can imagine. He is the Waymaker and the Promise Keeper, and He will keep His promise to you. He loves YOU precious one and He sees your pain and although at times it may not seem like it….but He has a great plans for your life! Plans to prosper you and not harm you, to give you hope and future.

Whatever it is your going through Gods got you in the palm of His hand and He will work all things out for your good. Keep hanging in there my friend and hoping against hope! You are His treasure and Trophy of Grace!

Love and hugs,

Nicole💗

He Makes All Things New

Don’t you just love butterflies? To me it’s a daily reminder that He makes all things new! God has been speaking this to my heart for quite some time. I see butterflies everywhere! In places they shouldn’t be and every time I see them it’s mostly 2’s. I just can’t help but smile. It reminds me of how much He loves us and how he is changing and transforming us every day more into his image and being set free from the things that have held us captive.

The butterfly is such a beautiful creature, but she doesn’t start out that way. She is transformed over time, like you and I. She starts as an egg, a larva (caterpillar), a cocoon and then into a magnificent beautiful butterfly.

That’s kind of how we are on our journey with God. We are being transformed more and more into his image every day. We go from glory to glory. Transformation can be very painful but it’s also worth it! God will never bring anything into your life if He can’t use it for your benefit and His glory! What the enemy meant for harm, God will use for your good.

God loves us too much to let us stay the same. So no matter where you are today or what you’re going through, he’s got you right in the palm of his hand. If you have a wayward child or a loved one, God sees and knows your heart and has heard your prayers. He sees each tear and says “I will restore to you what the enemy has taken. I will give you double for your trouble!”

If you’re sick in your body, HE MAKES ALLLLLL THINGS NEW! Every cell, every organ, every joint, muscle, ligaments, everything must come into the alignment with His word. You are the healed of the Lord! He makes all things new, you claim that for yourself. When you see and feel the symptoms of disease remember by His stripes you are healed and speak His word over your body.

If you are struggling in your marriage, God knows, He sees and he is transforming your spouse, your marriage every day. It may not look like it because transformation is hard, and it’s not easy and it takes time. Sometimes a really really long time! Hang in there precious one.

Letting go and letting God take care of it isn’t easy but He knows what it takes to bring the other person around.

HE BRINGS RESTORATION MY FRIEND!

He turns your morning into dancing. He takes your weeping and turns it into laughing. He takes your sadness and turns it into joy.

So keep your eyes focused on him instead of your problems or situations, I know it’s difficult I’ve been there myself but keep your faith strong.

We have to stir ourselves up sometimes. We walk by faith and not by sight. So be expectant! Get up everyday expecting today is the day!! My breakthrough is coming today! I’m expecting God to do something great today! He makes all things new precious one!

God had you in mind when He created you. He knew what you would do before you did and yet He still created you and loves you with an everlasting love. You are perfect in His sight, you are His Trophy of Grace!

Love and hugs,
Nicole💗

Fix Your Eyes On Jesus

Focus has been my word for quite sometime not just for the task at hand but also in life issues as they arise. If you think about it we are always focused on something, good or bad our attention goes somewhere. I’m learning as situations come up if I stay focused on Jesus, and keep my eyes on him instead of the problems going on around me, my thought life is better and my emotions are more stable. Which makes for a happier life, cus let’s be real if Moma ain’t happy nobody’s happy. As the saying goes, “Happy wife, happy life”😂

Believe me I’m not saying that this is easy because sometimes it’s darn right hard and feels impossible at times. But we always have a choice. When I choose wrong that’s when I begin to get sidetracked, I focus on my problems, I think about it, talk about it, think about it, talk about it, and that’s when every goes haywire for me. The committee in my mind convenes and then I’m in BIG trouble. Maybe you can relate to that?

The Word says the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy but I’ve also learned that if the enemy knows you have enough of God and His word in you he knows he cannot destroy you so he has to move onto Plan B…..Distractions. He will work so hard set up distractions to keep you derailed from walking in your destiny and that’s exactly what he wants. He doesn’t have to destroy you just distract you.

The enemy knows YOU are a danger to him and that you walking in your destiny will destroy him and benefit the Kingdom and that’s the last thing he wants. He doesn’t want you or I to fulfill the call on our lives.

Do you recognize the distraction in your life?

Do you recognize the things that crop up to steal your peace, joy, past victories, freedom, etc?

We’ve gotta learn to stay focused on Jesus, speak life, speak His promises over ourselves, over our families, marriages, problems, etc. That negative talk will get you NOWHERE but further in the pit!!

YOU ARE NOT A PIT DWELLER!

No matter how bad things are in your life, no matter how deep you’ve fallen into the pit of hell let me assure you God is right there with you! He IS in control and He will never loosen his grip on you.

So stretch your hands toward Heaven and He will lift you out of the pit, out of the hopelessness you feel, and set your feet upon a rock giving you a firm place to stand and direct your steps my friend.

You are a Trophy of Grace precious one so stand firm and focused, don’t give into the distractions and never give up. Every one of His promises is for YOU and YOU are destined for greatness!! He loves you with an everlasting love and He’s got great plans for you!!

Blessings and hugs,

Nicole💗

Won’t He do it…..

Always pray and never give up! Pray until the answers come my friend.

We are right in the middle of 21 days of prayer and I love how God gives us exactly what we need when we need it. A day sooner or a day later wouldn’t mean the same ya know. Today’s prayer service was so on point, it was as if God stood there and spoke directly to me. I had to listen to it twice.

Day before yesterday I was reading a blog from The Godly Chic Diaries (Shout Out! Go check her out😊) called NEVER GIVE UP and it was so good and a onetime word for me and then today’s prayer service message was exactly the same. Let me tell you God is speaking. I have been going through what seems like a never ending battle and have at times been fearful, discouraged and felt like giving up so thankful for sweet friends and family who speak life and encourage me. And because God is such a cool dude He gave me a 2nd reminder in 3 days of how awesome He is. That’s how much He loves you and me.

Won’t He do it?

Won’t God bring healing to you? Me? Won’t God open the right door for you at the exact time you need it? Won’t He bring victory to our lives at the right time? That thing you’ve prayed for in secret for so long that no one knows about, won’t He bring it to pass? That miracle, that baby you’ve believed God for for so long, that financial need, whatever it is I say let’s continue to stand firm, always praying and never give up. Pray until we see our answers, our victory, our breakthrough come.

Giving up is NOT an option. Stand firm precious one!! He’s working on your behalf and mine. Keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking. God never grows weary or tired of hearing from you or me.

Lord we come boldly to Your throne with praise and thanksgiving, and we worship You. We thank you for loving us and not giving up on us. I know so many struggling right now who need healing in their bodies, they need strength and peace for the pain and brokenness in their lives. Lord we ask that You move in a mighty mighty way, show yourself strong in my life and those around me. Show your glory Lord, let us walk in Your favor and blessings. We ask, we seek, we knock and we will keep on praying until our answers come and we will NEVER GIVE UP LORD! Our hope and trust is in You, the Way Maker, the Miracle Worker, and the Promise Keeper! In Jesus name, Amen🙏🏻

Love and hugs,

Nicole💗
