Count it ALL Joy

Sometimes in life it’s just one thing after another! I know you’ve heard people say, and maybe you’ve said it “And the hits just keep on coming” or “It’s always something…I can never catch a break” But what if God is speaking through those trials, trying to teach us something and we just don’t see it.

His word says He will test our hearts, emotions, and thinking. When the pressures of life arise, then you see what’s really on the inside of us. God is looking to see if we will hold up to the pressure. It’s the Refiners fire, molding and shaping us into His image. Will we pass the test…Or go around the mountain again?

Well the awesome thing about God is that there is no pass or fail…..you’ll just get to retake the test, you’ll get to hike around that mountain AGAIN!! Been there done that, bought the cd and T-shirts lol.

The test and trials of life are so we can learn who we really are and what’s on the inside that needs to come out, and our great need of a Good Good Father. God is not impressed by what we say we know or what we say we will do, He wants to PROVE us under pressure.

I remember years ago when our house flooded in the basement the first time (yes I said FIRST time) Sean and I were not very happy and rightfully so but I don’t think we handled it very well either lol.

Trial=Mr. and Mrs. Grumpy Gills 😂😂

Not long later it happened again that time I hit my knees and asked “OK Lord what do you want me to learn from this?” And my attitude completely changed. I wasn’t happy about the trial but I sure didn’t want to behave like I did before and I had to go through it anyways.

Nothing I could do would change it, I had to go through….so while I’m going through I might as learn something and not let the devil steal my joy!!

And then wouldn’t you know it a year or so later YES IT HAPPENED AGAIN!! But this time I actually laughed about it and said Lord I know you have this, and devil you are under my feet!

So today as I go through these trials, whatever they are…air conditioning goes out, washer breaks, trouble with vehicles, doggo problems, and others that are more serious I choose to take the test and pass…..Lord I don’t want to go around the same stupid mountain AGAIN!!

Help me, my trust is in You Lord and not what I see going on around me. For Your word tells me that You are for me not against me, that what the enemy meant to harm and destroy, You will work ALL things out for our good!

I also know You Lord have a great plan for my life and my family. Sometimes when we are going through trials we have to remind ourselves of God’s promises, remember past victories. Trust in a God that loves you and knows what’s best for you. He sees and knows what we can’t see or know. Trust you will be victorious…You already are!!

You are destined for greatness, no matter what those trials look like.

God calls YOU his own, He calls you righteous (in right standing with God…not perfect) and He calls YOU OVERCOMER. He loves you and he’s working behind the scenes on your behalf.

Have faith, press into Jesus, stand firm, and speak life precious one!!

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

JOY

What an amazing Christmas service last night! I love when God brings confirmation of something he’s spoke to you.

As I mentioned in a previous post God has been speaking the word JOY to me for the last few days and yesterday I received a Joy picture from a friend out of the blue.

I have already been praying about what my word for next year would be and decided yesterday my word was JOY. So last night at the service wouldn’t you know the first song was JOY to the World and then Pastor Chris brought a powerful word. Then he started talking about what the word for 2019 was…..I already had tears in my eyes and was saying to myself he is fixing to say JOY….then he says it’s JOY! Goodness the tears just flowed, I was completely blown away. He just amazes me.

God is so good! Connect to the source (Jesus) and your life will change in amazing ways. He’s speaking sometimes we just need to be quiet enough to hear. Be blessed!

Let you light shine for all the world to see!

Merry Christmas y’all!

Big hugs,

Nicole❤️

Lord I believe. Help my unbelief!

If I’m being real some days this is where I find myself “I do believe but help my unbelief.” Does that make me a bad person? No, it makes me human. You might find yourself here today.

When those situations we pray for haven’t changed, sometimes we grow tired and weary but it doesn’t mean God isn’t listening or that He isn’t working. It doesn’t mean He doesn’t love us either. It simply means He knows more than we do and He knows what’s best for us.

He sees the beginning from the end and NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GOD!

But what if it never changes?

Does that mean God isn’t good? Of course not, He’s a good good Father regardless of whether our problems or circumstances change.

Sometimes the things we are praying for are also dependent on other people which brings in free will. Which I know can also be hard because sometimes we know what’s best for someone but they have to want it, we can’t force it on then. We have to trust God with them or our situation.

We live in a fallen world BUT my friend if we keep pressing into God, going to Him with our requests, trusting Him, He can change those things and change us. He will perfect that which concerns you and He WILL make all things turn around for our good.

HOPE believes God isn’t done yet!

HOPE believes God can do anything!

Hope is the anchor for our soul.

HOPE and…..FAITH as small as a mustard seed! Nothing is IMPOSSIBLE TO GOD!

So today I recognize that my faith is not always where it should be, we all find ourselves there at some point my friend and that’s ok. Just tell God, He knows already and He loves you anyways.

As I come to You today and say “I believe Lord. Help my unbelief” I recognize that often I look at my circumstances instead of looking at You. Help me keep my eyes focused on You instead of what’s going on all around me. Thank You for all that you’ve done for me and my family. Thank you for loving this hotmess of a woman. Where would I be without You? Thank you for Your goodness, kindness and your graciousness. You have blessed me far beyond what I deserve. I love You and praise You Lord! In Jesus name, Amen!

My heart cries out, “I do believe, help my unbelief.”

Love,

Nicole💗

Blessed Is She Who Believed

This verse has meant so much to me and one I have clung to for a very long time. God speaks. He gives us the promise. And then we hold tight to it and believe with all of our heart. It’s not easy, sometimes it’s darn right painful! We question ourselves and we’re afraid. But precious one if you just dare to believe, keep pressing in and never give up He will bless you, and He will do what he has promised you in dark.

So often I think we believe the lies of the enemy instead of the truth of God’s word. We hear the whispers of

“Its never going to change.”

“Things will always be this way.”

“I’ll never be healthy.”

“I’ll never get pregnant.”

“I’ll never find a husband.”

Insert whatever your situation is. But the truth is if we keep believing, keep speaking God’s word over our circumstances we will see his promises come to pass in his time. Call those things that be not as though they are!

So what promises are you holding on to? Has God whispered things to your heart in the dark, ones that have yet to come to pass? Ones that you can’t possibly accomplish without Him? DREAM BIG!! ARE YOU PREPARING FOR RAIN? Have you seen the movie Facing the Giants? I love the part in it where they tell the story of the 2 farmers. That story reminds me of our faith in action. Here’s an excerpt from the movie:

Mr. Bridges:

There were two farmers who desperately needed rain, and both of them prayed for rain. But only one of them went out and prepared his fields to receive it.

Mr. Bridges: Which one do you think trusted God to send the rain?

Coach Taylor: the one who prepared his fields for it?”

Mr. Bridges: Which one are you? God will send the rain when He is ready. You need to prepare your field to receive it.

Are you preparing for rain? Are getting ready for God’s blessings to flow? Begin preparing, calling those things that be not as though they are. Having visual reminders of what God has promised you also keeps your faith stored up. Whatever situation you find yourself in, it’s not to big for God! He is not caught off guard. He’s saying hang on precious one, I’ve got this! He does wonderful things and He’s waiting to do wonderful things for you! Things you have yet to see and things you can’t imagine.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.

Blessings and hugs,

Nicole💗
