Bondage Breaker

Faith doesn’t create reality, faith responds to reality. It’s not the idea that you merely “believe” that counts; it’s WHAT and WHO you believe in that counts!!

Everybody believes in something and everybody walks by faith according to what he or she believes. BUT “WHAT IF” what you believe isn’t true???? Then what you live won’t be right. ~Bondage Breaker #Jesussaves #walkbyfaith

Becoming His Tapestry

Hey friends, how are you today? How is your day? Did you, like me, hit the ground running? I promised myself, I would make a conscience effort to slow down, but that dream can only become a reality, when I intentionally take the time to slow down.ย  As an empty~nester, it feels very wrong for me to be idle.ย  I just canโ€™t do, I donโ€™t know how, therefore, Iโ€™ve made some changes.ย  Iโ€™ve added more responsibilities to a not so empty schedule.ย  I now work five days a week, instead of two or three and very soon, I will be starting a young ladies bible study. The truth is these are not very difficult tasks, but they are time consuming.ย  Time consuming, did I already say, time consuming? Add two blog posts a week and I may be ready for bedlam. Thank God, He is in the time management business.ย โ€ฆ

Good Good Father

You’re a good good father
It’s who you are, it’s who you are, it’s who you are
And I’m loved by you
It’s who I am, it’s who I am, it’s who I am
You’re a good good father Chris Tomlin

I love this song, it speaks to my very core.

Romans 8:15

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[a] And by him we cry, โ€œAbba,[b] Father.โ€

Before I was 2 my parents divorced and my relationship with my father wasn’t as good as it should have been or could have been. I would say it was lacking in many ways.

The word father can stir up lots of ideas for people and as to what they think and feel. For some it’s warm happy memories, trips, important events, etc. But for others it’s the complete opposite. It’s one of hurt, pain, rejection, and not being there. I would say I fit into this category and if this is you let me just say while I know it’s easy to think your Heavenly Father is just like your earthly father but this is so far from the truth.

Your Heavenly Father created you on purpose! He loves you with an everlasting love. He calls you beautiful, holy, righteous. He will NEVER EVER abandon you. You are the apple of his eye, his beautiful masterpiece. He would never hurt you or reject you.

But you say to yourself “How could He ever love someone such as myself? I’ve made so many mistakes.”

God is not only your Creator but also your Father but even more than that he’s a Good Good Father. He’s cares for you and has a plan and purpose for your life. Plans to prosper and not harm. Plans to give you a hope and future.

Sweet friend do you believe with your whole heart you are loved and a child of God?

The Word- Get it on the inside.

Romans 5:1; “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

I Corinthians 2:9; โ€œNo one has seen, or heard, or even imagined what wonderful things God has ready for those who love him.โ€

Galatians 5:22; “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”

John 14:27; “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

1 Peter 5:7; “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Hebrews 4:16; “Let us then approach Godโ€™s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

John 11:25 – 26; “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Psalm 103:4 -5; “who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagleโ€™s.”

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.

Begin to memorize the Word, try and apply it to your everyday life. If you can only do one that’s fine. Just study it, say it out loud, repeat it over and over. Let get down on the inside of you, and it I’ll come back to you when you need it.

Have you always trusted God? Or is there something you are in need of but you believe God will do it for someone else but not you? I know I’ve been that person. I thought God didn’t care about what I needed or what happened to me. I believed for others I just didn’t believe he loved me enough to do it for me.

In the beginning I spoke of how my relationship with my earthly father wasn’t very good when I was younger but our because we serve a Good Good Father what was once broken has been restored. We go on trips together, I had my first Christmas with my dad that I can remember this past year. We talk and text all the time. See He’s a God of restoration. He’s into giving back what the enemy has stolen from you. A double portion baby!

My prayer is that You would know Jesus, feel and sense His presence in your time of need. Pour out your heart to him. Keep asking, keep seeking, keep on knocking sweet friend! He loves His sons and daughters and watching over them and will perfect that which concern you. Because that’s just what a Good Good Father does.

Galatians 4:7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.โ€

If You’re Dreams Don’t Scare You They Aren’t Big Enough

Hello beautiful friends! I just wanted to take a minute just to speak life to you and try and reignite a flame on the inside of you. (I am speaking to myself as well)

Have you giving up on a dream God put in your heart?

Does fear hold you back?

Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self-discipline (and sound mind)

Have you just gotten busy with life, being a husband, wife or mom or dad, or your career? As moms and dads we wear many hats but I want to encourage you to NOT ever give up on your dreams!!

Sometimes we get caught up in life doing things for others that they need to do themselves instead of you doing it for them. (This is enabling, a whole other topic) But when you do that you hinder their walk and their calling as well as your own. This is where we have to let go and let God and refocus onto his plan for your life. We have dig deep, seek God and do it afraid!! Yes it will take time, hard work, and discipline but God placed them in your heart for a reason.

God has a plan! You have purpose my friend!

Our dreams can be exciting and scary at the same time. Dream BIG, Believer BIGGER!! You have a purpose and you living your dreams, walking in your destiny is crucial! Not just for you but also for others in your life. You have something or have overcome something that someone else needs help with. They need to see and know it’s possible, that they are not alone and in a hopeless situation. You are not here on earth just to exist day to day, NO precious one you have purpose and meaning but you also have a mission to do!

So let’s Re-focused, Re-shift our mindset and get about doing our Fathers business. His word says “My people parish without knowledge/ vision.”

What’s your vision?

What’s your dream?

Are you determined to live your dreams?

God is with you every step of the way, cheering you on!! And if you don’t have someone around you to cheer you on, I WILL sweet friend! You got this!! You can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS YOU! He loves His precious sons and daughters and longs to see them fulfill the call on their life.

Walk it out beautiful ones. You are an Overcomer! ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Big hugs,

Nicole ๐Ÿ’—

Sandpaper People

Let’s just be real! There are some people in this life who are just plain ole miserable. They are difficult and hard to get along with. I call them “Sandpaper people.” These are the people that rub us the wrong way or are constantly getting under our skin for one reason or another. You can try and change them but more often than not you are probably like me and just want to run from them, LOL.

God uses “sandpaper people” in our lives to show us what’s on the inside of us and where we need to grow and change. It also stretches us, challenges us, teaches us how to grow in love and extend grace to others.

There are several uses for sandpaper.

Preparing wood– It smoothes surfaces before paint is applied. It helps paint adhere to the object better.

Removing stains– It actually can remove stains better and faster than harsh chemicals.

Polishing– It can smooth metal surfaces by taking the rust of surfaces. It can can also polish rough or gagged edges.

Enhance– It can make round places smoother or make edges more defined.

Can you notice how the uses of sandpaper are also similar to how God is working on us? God is trying to smooth the rough places out of our lives. He’s removing the stains that are on us from what the trials of life have done to us. He is polishing our rusty surfaces so more of Him can be seen. He is enhancing, smoothing, changing and shifting our perspective.

You can run like I jokingly said above but if you get rid of one sandpaper person, there will be 2-3 more that takes their place. I swear they multiply, LOL! I think it requires a shift in our perspective and how we view them. We need to remember God created them and he loves them, so we need to CHOOSE to see them the way God does. A lot of the time they are just desperate for people’s approval, to just be noticed, or they are desperate to fit in and be accepted.

“We are ALL God’s workmanship.”

And can I just tell you that God loves you and approves of you just the way you are precious one.

We must look deeper in ourselves and see beyond what’s going on around us. God’s Word says in 1 Corinthians 13:7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

When we take the plank or out of our own eye, we can better see with God’s eyes.

I’m learning that in order for me to keep my peace and not let the sandpaper people get under my skin I need to go to God ask him to change my perspective and then do my part which is to look for the good in them. If I do this long enough God will work IN ME. That person may not change but how I view them or how they USE to get under my skin no longer bother me.

Encourage them, bless them, and build them up with your words!

I’m not saying this will be easy, believe me I struggle with this too. But when I apply these things I am better equipped to handle them. Then I also need to realize that I, myself have been the “sandpaper person” in someone else’s life. Ouch that’s hard to believe, right??? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Little ole me a sandpaper person, LOL. Sometimes I get right others times I fail. But that’s ok, just keep trusting good and He will change you and help you.

In the words of my Masters Commission friend, Brody, “Just love people!” Words of wisdom from a young soul. Love God and love people and you’ll be alright.

God bless you sweet friends. I appreciate each one you and it means so that take time out of your busy schedules to stop by Trophy Of Grace. Have a blessed day!

Big hugs,

Beauty For Ashes

When life just seems to be one struggle after another, keep hanging in there, keep pressing in. These trials are for a purpose. They are not to harm you but to purify you, to grow and change you more into His image. He wants us to learn from them and grow closer to Him in the process.

Remember if you let Him do a work in you HE WILL RESTORE what the enemy has stolen and tried to destroy in your life, marriage, health, finances, everything!! He WILL give you beauty for ashes! But in order for that to happen you have to seek Him, surrender to Him, walk in his ways and He WILL WORK ALL THINGS OUT FOR YOUR GOOD!! ๐Ÿ’—

You may not have had a good childhood and what your living in right now might not look good either. But God….He’s word says I will give you beauty for ashes, praise for your despair beautiful one. Invite Him in he wants to heal you every where you hurt. He wants to bring restoration to you. He wants to do great and mighty things in your life, things you can’t even comprehend. He’s rewriting your story precious one. His GLORY will be manifested in your life, and what the devil meant to harm and to destroy God will work to your good! You are victorious, an overcomer… never give up.

You are NOT a problem but answer to problem in this world!!

You are awesome and wonderfully made, never doubt that sweet friend!๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’•
