Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!!

As we come to a close of another year, whether it was a good year or bad year or somewhere in between tomorrow is a fresh start, the first blank page of your book, so write a good one!!

For me 2018 has had a great deal of challenges and yet God has brought restoration in some areas of our lives with more to come I’m certain. I’m so excited to usher in 2019 and a new beginning. I hope you are as well. I am expecting great things this year for He makes ALL things new!So give Him your weakness and accept His strength! All of your sins have been forgiving and erased, and He has lifted your shame and disgrace! Let Him revive your soul and take your brokenness and make you WHOLE and give you unspeakable JOY!

The promises of God are for YOU and they are Yes and Amen! So tap into Him and His promises for you and your family my friend!!

I pray His blessings and favor chase you down and overtake you in 2019 for He is a God of restoration.

Those healings and breakthroughs are coming so DON’T GIVE UP precious one!

PRESS IN to the new year and CONTEND for what Jesus died to give you!! YOU are a MIGHTY WARRIOR!!

I am believing for you and your family, as well as mine that God will do Ephesians 3:20 in your life….exceedingly, abundantly above and WAYYYY beyond what we can hope, ask, or think this year!!

Thank you God for what you are going to do in our lives and we believe there is so much more to come! You are a Good, Good Father who loves his children and has great and mighty things in store for us. Teach us to walk in Your ways and not get stuck in old patterns and ways the ways of the world. Open new doors to walk in your plans and purposes for our lives and close doors that need to be closed. Move mountains Lord. Bring healing and restoration to our lives and break the chains that bind us. May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. In Jesus name, Amen!

I’ve shared in a past post that Joy is my word for 2019. I’d love to know what your word is and why.

JOY

What an amazing Christmas service last night! I love when God brings confirmation of something he’s spoke to you.

As I mentioned in a previous post God has been speaking the word JOY to me for the last few days and yesterday I received a Joy picture from a friend out of the blue.

I have already been praying about what my word for next year would be and decided yesterday my word was JOY. So last night at the service wouldn’t you know the first song was JOY to the World and then Pastor Chris brought a powerful word. Then he started talking about what the word for 2019 was…..I already had tears in my eyes and was saying to myself he is fixing to say JOY….then he says it’s JOY! Goodness the tears just flowed, I was completely blown away. He just amazes me.

God is so good! Connect to the source (Jesus) and your life will change in amazing ways. He’s speaking sometimes we just need to be quiet enough to hear. Be blessed!

Let you light shine for all the world to see!

Merry Christmas y’all!

Big hugs,

Nicole❤️

Got a little JOY

I went into the post office a little bit ago and I got the BEST surprise from my sweet friend, she works there. She was gonna mail me a gift today but since I was in there she gave it to me. It was some yummy pumpkin spice coffee and this cute little JOY picture.

So funny how God gives us what we need when we need it. See my mind and heart has been troubled over some things that I can’t change and the last couple of days God keeps speaking the word JOY to me and then she gave me that. God is so good and always in the details.

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

Blessings in Disguise

Hey y’all, hope all my Trophy of Grace followers are doing great! I love this time of year, don’t you? I just wish we’d get a bunch of snow this winter 😬🙏🏻 I want to build a snowman⛄️

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been struggling with hives. Oh my goodness it’s been so aggravating! So I had to go to dermatologist and since I was there he gave me the once over. He found what he thought were to new skin cancers. I was a little bummed but at the same time I was thankful because if I hadn’t had the hives and gone to see him then who knows how long it would have been before it was discovered. The doctor called back a couple days later and it was skin cancer so I have to go in for procedure today. So it truly was a Blessing in Disguise.

But how often when bad things happen do we just focus on the bad and never notice the positive? I know in the past I’ve been guilty of it. But I’m learning in every bad situation it’s up to me to find the positive. It’s up to me to speak God’s promises. It’s up to me to look for the blessings in disguise and it’s up to you too my friend.

Back when my oldest daughter was in high school she had been having really bad headaches and the doctor just said it was migraines. But something on the inside of me just didn’t think that was all it was.

This is where I just how God works things out for our good and shows that He’s always one step ahead of us. One afternoon she had a minor fender bender in the school parking lot. Bless! Lol. So I took her to get checked out and they they noticed something on her X-ray sort of a birth defect which prompted us to take her to Children’s Hospital. They did lots of testing, several mri’s. Turns out she had Klipple-feil syndrome, Wildervanck syndrome, and chiari malformation. My sweet girl! They had to monitor the chiari to see if it was progressing every 6 months, then every 3 months, and eventually it was once a month until she had to have brain surgery, the chiari decompression.

See her idiot doctor chalked it up to just migraines but I knew it was something more than that. So had she not had the fender bender who knows how much longer she would have suffered and how much longer we wouldn’t have know. It truly was a Blessing in Disguise!

I’m sure if you sat down and thought of it you could come up with many of these in your own life.

So often crazy things or unfortunately things happen in life but it’s all in how we look at it and deal with it that matters.

If God is directing our steps then we should trust that nothing will come our way that we can’t handle.

Nothing is too big for God and he wasn’t surprised by anything that’s happened. He is holding you right in the palm of his hand my friend.

I know it can be hard but try and look for the good in every situation. Try and be the light in someone’s darkness.

It’s all about your perspective!

Sometimes you just gotta talk to yourself and speak Gods promises over your life and you will find the Blessings in Disguise.

God bless y’all and have a wonderful day!

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

You are God’s Masterpiece

Good morning my beautiful friends! Sometimes in life we are just beat down at every turn, to the point that it’s hard to even look up. So today I just want to remind you of how special you are. You were fearfully and wonderfully made. You were NOT a mistake! You may not have had a good start but precious one that doesn’t mean you can’t have a fantastic ending.

Gods got you! He wants to heal you every where you hurt. He wants to heal your broken heart so you can go out and help heal others. You have a job to do now.

Give Him your brokenness, and just see what He does with it and with you. You are special, His beautiful Masterpiece! You are destined for GREATNESS! You are highly favored! You are anointed for hard. You are an overcomer. You are anointed to heal the broken hearted, spread the gospel, share your testimony, and help set the captives FREE!! Ohhh Yes He does have great plans for you! He calls YOU ~OAKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!! Now go and walk in it my friend.

Big hugs,

Nicole💗

Here are my answers to the questions:

What made you start blogging?

I love blogging. It helps me to get things out so I don’t bottle things up but it also gives me an avenue to share my pain, my experience, strength and hope. I never want my pain to be wasted, if I can help just one person then it’s all worth it.

When did you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior?

When I was 5 years old.

What is your favorite movie and/or book?

Well that’s easy, it’s Elf! I love that movie. I’m pretty sure I know every word. I watch it throughout the year as well lol. My other favorites are How the Grinch stole Christmas with Jim Carey, Fun with Dick and Jane and Mr. Poppers Penguin. You might notice a theme, I like laughing and “I like smiling, smiling is my favorite.” 😂

Where are you from?

I was born in Charlotte, N.C.

What is your favorite food?

Ribeye steak, especially from Outback Steakhouse. I could eat it every day!

What type of music do you like the most?

I love Christian rap, worship and some good ole classic country.

Where have you traveled?

I have been to Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Las Vegas, Metropolis, Il, Chicago, Virginia, Tennessee, Branson, St. Thomas, eastern Caribbean, Michigan, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

Are you married?  Do you have kids?  If not, do you want to have kids?

Yes I am married, we have been married for 28 years and have 3 beautiful daughters and a wonderful son in law, and our youngest just got engaged. So our family is growing. We also have 2 dogs and 2 grand pups.

What was the biggest challenge you have overcome in life and how?

Dealing with family members who have a drinking problems or emotional issues. I’ve had to learn not to enable people and learn to respond rather than react. Learning that I’m responsible for my own happiness and not someone else. The journey I’ve been on has been extremely hard but I wouldn’t trade it because it’s helped me to become who I am today. Yes it’s painful but it has been life changing for me.

Have you ever had any supernatural experiences?

Being filled with the Spirit.

What was the best thing that ever happened to you?

I would have to say meeting my husband and having our 3 precious daughters.

****I’m just throwing this Question and Answer in just as a Bonus for your entertainment and because I really liked Ryan’s Question he had to answer.

So my most embarrassing moment happened when my husband and I were traveling with our girls. We decided to stop and grab a bite to eat at McDonald’s and let the girls play. Well they kept pestering me about going up in the McDonald’s PlayPlace with them, of course I said “No” I have a small fear of heights, lol. You know how relentless kids can be, I finally gave in and agreed to go up. I did fine until I got to the middle of the net tunnel. Yep you guessed it, I froze right in the middle, couldn’t move, I was laughing and crying all at the same time. Sean and the girls were laughing, heck everyone around was laughing. I was the laughing stock especially when my husband had to come up and get me down😂 Bless! Not my most shining moment but definitely a memory that gets shared often.

Here are my questions:

How many times have you moved?

What’s your favorite Christmas movie?

If you could meet any person dead or alive, who would it be?

What was your first pet?

What was your Word for this year?

If you are a Christian, who led you to the Lord? OR what circumstances helped get you there?

What’s your favorite holiday tradition?

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Are you an only child or do you have siblings? How many?

What are some things God has taught you to do or use to help you walk in victory?

What’s your worst cooking disaster?
